Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure aimed at lightening the color of teeth, making them appear brighter and more appealing. Over time, factors like age, consumption of staining substances (coffee, tea, red wine), tobacco use, poor dental hygiene, and certain medications can lead to tooth discoloration. Teeth whitening procedures are designed to address this issue and enhance a person's smile.

There are several methods for teeth whitening : -

In-Office Whitening: This is a professional procedure performed by a dentist. It involves applying a strong bleaching agent to the teeth and using special lights or lasers to activate the bleaching process. In-office whitening usually provides quick and dramatic results in a single session.

At-Home Whitening Kits: Dentists can also provide custom-made trays and bleaching gel for patients to use at home. These trays are worn over the teeth for a specified period, usually a few hours a day or overnight, for a certain number of days or weeks. At-home kits offer more gradual results compared to in-office treatments.

Over-the-Counter Products: These include whitening toothpaste, strips, gels, and rinses available at drugstores. They contain milder bleaching agents than professional treatments, which means the results might be less noticeable and take longer to achieve.
